One of the greatest gifts we have to share as humans is the gift to share love with others. Experiencing a moment of sharing love creates a connection not only with the other person, but also with ourselves, sparking a bond that can be treasured forever.
Sharing love with someone doesn't have to be a grand gesture. Sometimes, a small hug, pat on the back or a supportive ear is all that is needed to change someone's day around for the better. Human beings are social creatures, so when we know that we have the love and support of someone else, be it another person or pet, we feel we have the strength to conquer challenges easier and know we aren't alone.
Sharing love with your children is what teaches them to share love with others. Whether it is spending time with them, sending them a loving note, supporting them through challenges, or holding them close to remind them how much they mean to you-each display of love will build upon the last to help reinforce a solid foundation of love.
"Sharing love is as easy as showing someone you care. I like to show my friends and family that I care about them. I can do that by helping Mama Bear with the chores, playing with my sister, Ayu, or even helping keep the forest near my house clean."
Sharing Love in Action
We wanted to share a way that you can spend time with your children and students to spread love in a fun and creative way.

We found a great project called "Love Rocks" by Kids Yoga Stories for you to enjoy with them! This will not only put a smile on their faces, but also help a stranger who may need it as well.
Collect some medium-sized rocks with your children with a flat side that they will be able to write on.
Paint the rocks in any way you like and as they dry come up with positive affirmations and words that you want to include on them.
Use a black Sharpie to write the words on the rocks with your children.
Once your rocks are dry and written on, decide where you want to leave them for someone else to find.
Kids and students can leave them at the park, a neighbor's door, or outside a store for another person to find. They may end up helping someone who is having a bad day that really needs a positive message. Whoever it may help, let your children know how they are spreading love in the world and making someone else's day a whole lot brighter. It is a great way to share love and have fun!
Check out our last blog about love in Part Four where you can see pictures of our Joy Sun Bear friends enjoying this activity at the park. We all had a great time and felt good doing something creative to share kindness with others!
We also wanted to share some love with your family or classroom by including the video below by Samaritan's Purse. Hope it makes you smile! 🙂
Hope you keep sharing love and see you next week when we recap all we have learned about love.
Enjoy your week!
